I am an American poet
I live with this pen in hand
I am inspired by my dreams
Nothing all too grand

I am an American poet
I literally write to live
I may not have money or riches
Just my words to give

I am an American poet
Whose heart felt words are real
I write down how I think
And I write down what I feel

I am an American poet
My life is upon this lined pad
Words of my past dreams of the future
And of the times that I once had

I live with this pen in hand

I will be back in a little while. Have to run to Courthouse to pay my County taxes. Just paid the City ones last month. It just ruins my mood on Monday....LOL!

Gosh, I just heard a big thunder boom and it scare me out of my chair! Terrible way to start Mondays. Taxes and thunder!
I hope it stops before I finish dressing. Another loud boom and it sounded like something hit my storm door...its awful!
