Since beginning our relationship with Corgis, and we know many, they have the sweetest disposition you will find in canines. They are also very athletic.

I am admittedly, quite biased.

Here's our girl...

Checking out the new carpet...

HIGH FIVE!!!

Did someone say "Treat"??

Yeah, she may be mixed, but she's just as you described. She got all of the best traits.

Sorry to hear about Jake. We used to have two Cocker Spaniels, our girl Laci, was black as pitch. Coco, the male was a bit more Parti color, but a golden brown with a white chest. Lost them both a few years back, it was tough. Laci was over 15 and we lost Coco at 9.

We swore we were done with dogs. Then the neighbors across the street were moving. They had adopted Misti from the pound, who had found her in the desert. They were going to take her back if no one was willing to adopt her.

Ahh well, dogs are good, dogs are great. This little one keeps me busy. Has the energy of the Energizer Bunny. She doesn’t stop playing or running unless she’s recharging her batteries.

The colors on your dogs are really nice. I didn’t realize they varied so much within the breed.

But my first picture isn’t showing, it was last night...hmmm.

Thanks, she is a joy, a tad spoiled, but all of our dogs have been. ;^)

Have a great weekend!

BUMP! Sorry I missed this! I love me my Labs! I’ve had three of them so far.

I currently share my home with a Yellow Lab - Miss Lucy. And while Beagles are popular, I have a Basset, which is a Bloohound/Beagle mix. Rufus rounds out the dogs for now - I’m on the hunt for a female Chocolate Lab 3-4 years old as a companion to Lucy as Rufus isn’t as spry as he once was...well, who IS? LOL!

Is there a Lab Rescue operating in Wisconsin? I got my current Golden from GRROW (Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin — GRROW.org). A finer organization you’ll never find. They know all of the rescue operations around (good and bad) and could probably lead you to one that specializes in Labs. GRROW also rehomes Golden/Lab mixes from time to time, if they look more like a Golden than a Lab. I know they have dealings with Lab rescue groups.

Thanks for the tip! Golden/Lab mixes are terrific dogs. My Cinder was one. She looked like a black Golden. Smartest dog, ever. Loyal and sweet. I miss that girl! :)

There is one of those living near our plant. I see his owner walking him every day. I think he/she looks like a Flat Coated Retriever, a very old breed (now rare) that you see only in dog shows on TV. But, the owner says no, just a mutt. Beautiful long, glossy black coat and the face and demeanor of a Golden Retriever.

GRROW will take on Lab/Golden mixes when they look more like Goldens than Labs. My cousin in Madison had a beautiful Lab/Golden mix about 18 years ago named Noodles. What a sweetheart.
