Would that make Boehner VP? No. There is no line of succession for VP. If the VP becomes President, then the VP becomes vacant and the President will nominate a Vice President, who is then confirmed by both chambers of Congress.

No. There is no line of succession for VP. If the VP becomes President, then the VP becomes vacant and the President will nominate a Vice President, who is then confirmed by both chambers of Congress. That's how it works. When Nixon resigned, VP Gerald Ford became president and he in turn selected Nelson Rockefeller to be the next VP. There are enough RINOs in the house and senate that Biden will no doubt be able to give the post to Hillary Clinton. In fact it almost seems like that his how this whole drama has been planned out.
