I understand, it’s pure concentrated melodrama. Probably not the best song choice when you already sound like an opera on legs. I love the guy, but he does not know the meaning of the word “understated”.
I agree - that last note was great, but for it to have the right amount of impact, he’s gotta dial the rest down, and then BAM! hit us with it.
