THE MEASURE OF A MAN
"mere man", you say
and well it may be so
when measured by an
earthly test and rod
much more I pray
a man is measured true
when soul and spirit's
measured by my God
this flesh and bone
when rendered to its base
could barely make a
bar of soap of me
and yet my Lord
transcends all time and space
and grants my soul
to taste eternity.
