Keep your chin up, your head down, and your nose to the grindstone (except of course when in the chowhall).
Seriously, I pray that you and your fellow troopers will stay safe and come home soon to your families.
Wow, I just turned 64 two days after Christmas, and it never ceases to amaze me that I would live to see the day I would be able to wish someone across the Globe and instantaneous Happy New Year.
Think I'll stick around a few more years (Lord willing of course) to see what other marvels are in store.
Happy belated birthday!
Think I'll stick around a few more years (Lord willing of course)...
I believe I speak for many when I say that I pray the Lord is willing.
Happy 2011!
I remember 40 years ago I was flying out over the South China Sea on New Years day and talked to my then 7 year old daughter using HF into Guam and then they used a satellite hook up to Forbes AFB and then the operator there made a call to my family. My daughter asked me where I was and I told her, she then told me: Daddy you come home....it was New Years eve and Momma had some good food. Even for grown ups it was hard to fathom calling from the other side of the world let alone a child..
