It’s interesting how so many survivalist-minded individuals assume that all fellow-feeling among neighbors will evaporate in a crisis. I was in downtown Manhattan on 9/11, I know people who were caught up in Hurricanes Andrew and Katrina. Some people become selfish predators, most do not - and that majority will make short work of the predators they catch.

Correct. Neighborhoods and communities will band together and help each other. Most of the folks are not savages. I don't think it will go easily on the folks that put us in the mess though.
