Speaking of surroundings, it does sometimes amaze me how quickly we adapt. Yesterday it was in the teens when I went shopping. As I left the store I did a quick survey of the 7 people going in and out the door at the time. 5 of the 7 (including myself) were wearing neither hat nor gloves. 1 person had gloves, no hat; 1 had hat, no gloves. Nobody looked cold, everybody was smiling.:)
When I got to school a day earlier it was around 0; but the sun was shining down and there was no wind. I actually felt warm by the time I walked through the parking lot.
Ev shoveled snow for 4 hours at Lambeau Field yesterday in 15 degrees and didn't blink. (Of course he has the advantage of his Army super high-tech long johns.;-)
I was amazed that I was warm and had to unzip my jacket at 19 degrees LOL!
