You’re aware that Alexander conquered Egypt and from then on it was ruled by Greeks (i.e. the Ptolemic line) until Agrippa defeated Antony & Cleopatra at Actium?

Yes, I’m aware of that bit of history. But that does not necessarily infer so-called “Olympic” games were ever held in Egypt as such. The possibility that Queen Arsinoe II competed lends the lie to the claim.

Be assured, I’m not saying that “Olympic” games were never held in Egypt. It’s just that the no evidence is given to the claim. Just saying it doesn’t make it so. I’m sick and tired of the lack of discipline and rigor that is the bane of the softer sciences today—like archeology. Entirely too much PC and historical distortion for political agendas.
