Thanks for the article. Paved roads indicate frequent travel between the locations along it. Any indication of what this road connected?

One can see why the Chinese believe that the American experiment is just a blink of an eye compared to the length of their civilizations.

I dunno, maybe the Chinese invented miniature golf; but if that’s a road I got a highway in my attic.

The Chinese have a habit of ripping asunder whatever regime is in place. It’s probably a better idea to have a dozen or so separate states or autonomous regions.
