Wife and I both have S&W .38s with laser grips, both with shrouded hammers. Advantage as I see it is you can shoot it in a pocket or purse without the hammer snagging, so it can offer an element of surprise.

I have a number of other handguns in various calibers, but find this to be the easiest to carry and the most versatile.

Your mileage may vary.

Thanks. I’d shoot a hole through my purse for the element of surprise. LOL

Right now I only have my old Colt SS .357 and never can remember IF it is the Python or Cobra . . . LOL

and last year for Christmas I bought the Ruger .380 LCP but at the time did not know ammo was so hard to come by locally. But recently after months and months of checking, I did buy 400 rounds. Didn’t want to be greedy so left one box on the shelf. :) I still need to get my laser grips for the LCP but was laid up with a broken ankle for several months recently which cramped both my shopping and getting around fir way too long.
