Bristol Palin Eyeing Big Money Deals Post-'Dancing'

Bristol Palin didn't technically win 'Dancing With the Stars' last week, but financially, the 20-year-old mom is paso doble-ing all the way to the bank.

"Bristol made over $345,000 from being on the show and currently is getting $35,000 for each speaking gig she does," an insider reveals to me. "Yet, all that is going to feel like pocket change if one or two of the big deals she's currently working on actually happens."

Palin family friends tell me there is a major deal in the works for Bristol to be the spokesperson for a middle American fashion brand, as well as a book deal and a multi-million offer to appear on another reality show.

How do you know that? Sarah and Todd own businesses and from watching Palin’s new reality show it seems that they want to incorporate their children like their son Track into their family business. I’m sure they would do the same for Bristol, but she has chosen a different path to do talks on teen pregnancy or advertise products. Nothing wrong with that if you don’t like it don’t buy the products or watch the shows, no ones forcing you to.

If you can't understand what Sarah is doing, then there's no need to continue further. You have your mind made up already, a mind that cannot see the new political paradigm that Sarah has created as she embodies the 1st 21st century politician.

It’s like a feeding frenzy by the same bunch of posters every time.

This is the first time I've posted on a Bristol thread, although I've been a lurker on most. I decided to post now because I'm concerned that in Bristol's desire to "cash in" she could cause real headaches for Sarah in 2012 if she decides to run. Not trying to be a wet blanket, just a realist. Many people still rely on the MSM for the bulk of their news, so a misstep by Bristol now could really hurt Sarah's chances.

That's so true! I'm happy for her. I think what the audience liked best is her demeanor as compared to the other contestants. She looked like your typical young all-American girl – nothing trashy or indecent.  She has an innocence and humility in the way she talks,  the way she dresses, and even the way she dances. I think people liked that. I know I did.

I wish her the best of luck and I hope she makes lots of money in the near future. It will give her the economic independence that will help her support herself and her child, and it will free her from opportunistic-good-for-nothing-leeches like Levi and his ilk.

Winning the trophy would've been nice, but on the other hand, what really counts is building a fan base and using the show as a launchpad for other endeavors.

As someone who remembers the Buchanan-Bush flame wars 10 years ago, I would have to say that even back then pales in comparison to what’s happening now with Governor Palin.

Bristol's son is sure a cutie, and she seems to be doing a good job of raising him, and sounds like she will have the funds to continue doing so, seem he is also loved dearly by the entire Palin family after having watched ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska.

I wouldn’t worry about it. People get too caught up in trying to micromanage things they have no control over. Besides, it’s just a rumor. Considering the outright lies that come out about the Palins on a daily basis, I’d say we should take this with a grain of salt. The others who use these threads to sit up on high and bash Bristol Palin and her mother by proxy don’t care what the excuse is for the bashfest. They just go for it every chance they get.
