Sarah Palin was not only playing the role of proud mama grizzly last night when she sat in the front row cheering on daughter Bristol Palin in the finale of 'Dancing With The Stars' -- she was also playing casting director, lobbying the show's producers to consider signing up her Tea Party pal Christine O'Donnell for next season.
"Sarah is a genius at marketing herself and her message," an insider tells me. "She doesn't care about all the old rules about how political people are meant to behave and act. Sarah believes the best way is to go directly to the people -- use Twitter, Facebook, 'Dancing With the Stars' and 'Entertainment Tonight' to get potential voters excited and leave 'Meet The Press' and those boring Sunday morning shows to the old-school politicians."
And with the success of her own reality show, 'Sarah Palin's Alaska,' and Bristol stunning everyone with the fact that she is still in the 'Dancing' competition, Sarah might be onto something. Plus, who else are the 'Dancing' producers going to get after Bristol?
"Christine is not a bad idea at all," one ABC executive tells me. "After Kate Gosselin and Cloris Leachman, O'Donnell would fit right in. She certainly would be so controversial that the amount of press attention and buzz the show would get would be huge. Plus, you know they would make her dance in a witch's hat with a broomstick."
Sarah, if this political thing doesn't work out for you, you should think about a career in casting. Seriously.

So, are you two willing to run for office? Or are you just going to wait to snipe at next courageous person willing to put themselves out there on the front line?
The front lines? More like walking the street, selling what she got, as a publicity wh*re.
OH, you KIDS!! Sticking forks in your necks, speaking in cartoon language... sheesh.
Elsewhere on forum, you might find matters of substance. FReepers used to be able to have informed discussions. FReepers used to have the good of the country at heart.
But the Palinistas are as thin-skinned as she is!! Even though the m.o. is Roller Derby-style belligerence, it is triggered by an inability to care about what matters!!
I’ve been whacking trolls so hard my arm is sore, but they just keep popping up for more.

Here comes a ZOT...
Get lost
IBTZ
Currently I’m to busy defending our Nation. With that said, that doesn’t mean every two bit immature idiot that spouts conservative principles deserves our support over and over. She is a 2, 3, 4 time loser now? The best she can come up with is “I’m not a witch”. The women comes off, awful. She is incredibly immature and does a complete disservice to the conservative / GOP movement. The MSM will use her now for all they can...and she will go along with the MSM now all she can for the money. That is all she is about.
IBTZ? For what? Disagreeing?
As a Palin supporter, I am concerned with the thin skinned Palin supporters. Sarah Palin is tough as nails. Those who want to support her should follow suit. She deserves it.
To have someone banned for disagreeing is a tool of the left. Conservatives of all differing opinions should be above that sort of tactic.
the guy insulted free republic and palin supporters
I have no doubt that this is exactly what Palin is doing.
But if so, she's saying that we don't need our candidates to engage in of those sober discussions about boring old policy, economics, and national security.
That's sure to build confidence among voters who are concerned about the serious problems our country faces.
Aw! It felt more like a wet tea bag. :):)
I love that show “Chuck.”
I think Lancaster is prettier;^)
Not a bad idea! Candidates in debates dance around the issues, so why not a contest to see which of them is the best dancer?
One thing I can guarantee you — and this does come from personal knowledge — Christine O’Donnell is not going to be dancing with the stars.
