The only annoyance is that the black box that list the trackers still shows up on a site after you've blocked everything on that site. I've seen Adblock plus recommended on here before. It's a good one also.

There's an option for Ghostery to not display the "black box". I've told it to blacklist all trackers and I've never seen the need to whitelist any of them.

NoScript stops most of the annoying (i.e., Flash) ads anyway, but AdBlock is still a good option.
