So are the number of aircraft in the area. Odd that the amospheric conditions were such that only one of them would leave a contrail. Right at one the heaviest air traffic hours of the day.

Heaviest traffic hours, but not at that spot. Asia flights come to LAX from the north, any other flight coming from Hawaii would be in final descent at that spot, and not making contrails. The US808 flight was there, at 37K feet. Funny, its well established that the US flight was there at the time, yet, the pilots didn't see a missile or call it in to Los Angeles center? LOL Its an airplane, nearly the same thing was seen the next day at the same time, same flight.

No, it is not well established.

Here's the location of US Air flight 808 at around 5:00 p.m. http://i52.tinypic.com/2hh11cy.jpg

If the plane was heading east, the CBS (Los Angeles) helicopter would have to be far south of Catalina Island to capture that shot. We'll need to know the helicopter's precise location as well as the exact time that the videotape was shot. If the helicopter was in the LA basin and the plane was headed east, the plane was probably over the San Fernando Valley (or even farther north) and was a different flight.
