I think he feels she is a compelling, hardworking, Beautiful, Sweet Gal that is inexperienced but tries very hard. He and Carrie Ann both have said they would like her to continue if she could just open up for the entire dance.

I think he likes that she is not a big egomaniac like most of the “stars”. Some of these Stars were trying to tell the Professional dancers how to dance. Yikes.
