Don’t know if there really are more liberals in the Air Force or not, but I will say this: with some MOS exceptions, the Air Force is the closest thing to being a civilian one can be and still be called “military”. I was a grunt in the Army, but a good friend of mine was enlisted Air Force at the same time. I loved visiting him and all of the co-eds in their “dorms”.

Lol, I drove a FAC track for a year in Germany and worked with 3 AF guys, an LT, an E-7 and an E-4.

They were all on a first name basis too, my platoon sergeant would have had a stroke if I’d called him by his first name, after he’d torn off my head and crapped down my neck.

The AF guys all wore cammies and berets before they became Army issue and had cute “combat crew” tabs on their shoulders, they also went into town for breakfast and coffee most mornings, in the middle of an FTX mind you!

They were pretty nice guys but not the most military folks I ever met.
