***”Apparently only three have ever been discovered in the south of England so it is quite rare” said Mr Bagshawe, “and even rarer to find one that is completely intact.
“It’s in very good condition” he added.
“You can still see the marks that are necessary to actually effect the grinding mechanism to make sure that you do get the corn out at the end, so it’s obviously been made by man as opposed to being a natural object.” ***
And if you flip it over, it says Made in Japan!

Mr Bagshawe is an amateur archaeologistAt least they didnt claim it had a ceremonial purpose.
No kidding. Wrap this thing in a sheepskin and it attains Local/Regional/National/International Oohs and Aahs and can I have that grant now please?
BOTOH, I think this be really cool. Some locals digging a hole expecting the end result to be a hole, but they find something really cool as opposed to people digging a hole in the expectation of finding something and acting REALLY surprised when they find something and since they are wrapped in a sheepskin proclaiming Local/Regional/National/International Oohs and Aahs and can I have that grant now please?

Speaking of building new tee boxes... It’s a damn shame the PGA Tour ruled out using the new tee box that would make the 17th on the Disney Magnolia course a drivable par 4. As the finishing hole of the season-long Kodak challenge, I would think bringing eagle, or even double-eagle in to play would be good for the competition.

“Historical find at Leighton Buzzard golf course”:
“Im sure all the local duffers are more interested in when the course will be open again. LOL!”
Locally, it’s known as the ‘old buzzards’ golf course;)
