Obamas press conference today

Posted on 11/03/2010 10:59:19 AM PDT by oldindependent

not one reporter asked Obama if he and his gang of Zars were going to start doing things in the open or if they were still going to try to hide everything from the American people.

But two reporters did try to ask him if he “got it” yet and he was clearly annoyed when the second one dared to question his previous non-answer.

Surprisingly, that was Savannah Guthrie from NBC/MSNBC...he might have sniffed a little 'abandon ship' looming.

Yeah, they did.

I think it was the Wall Street Journal reporter who asked if he was going to use administrative orders to the EPA to bypass Congress on cap-and-trade, since he can’t get legislation passed now.

I thought the questions were tough and to the point. And that he was uncharacteristically humble, at least as much as he can be.

And I didn’t believe a lying word he said.

The best part was at the end:

As he concluded the news conference, Mr. Obama said the “shellacking” he received by the voters on Tuesday made him realize how important it is for a president to get out of the “bubble” of the White House. Note: my comments are in [brackets]

“When you’re in this place, it is hard not to seem removed [from the insignificant little people],” he said.

“How do I meet my responsibilities here, in the White House, which requires a lot of hours and a lot of work, but still have that opportunity to engage with the American people [who aren't even properly thankful for all that I've done for them] on a daily basis?”

Gosh darn, I guess he really couldn't find the time; he might have to cancel his $200,000,000 per day ten day trip to India and elsewhere and maybe spend a little bit of that ObamaMoney taking a bus around the United States. Nah. He and his family want to spend some quality time together in India.

He either cannot or will not make the connection of yesterday’s vote as another sign that America is in disagreement with his POLICIES. He’s either extremely stupid or willfully ignorant.

Lord Obama can do be both simultaneously. You don't understand the range of powers.
