The following is a fyi list of seats up for re-election in 2012
Stabenow. McCaskill, Kohl, Webb,Cantwell Tester,Brown. Buh, Bye.
Landrieu was reelected in 2008.
Add the traitor Ben Nelson from Nebraska...I doubt if he even runs or if he returns to Nebraska they may hang the bastard. He is throughly hated there!
Conn Chris Dodd’s (D) seat, not Losermans
I am in NY media market (North Jersey). I follow politics and am interested in the process. I don’t even know who is running against Gilibrand. I have not seen one commercial. Not one print add. I see hers all the time. They portray her as a mother who is fighting for working families. The commercials are good and very non-partisan. I don’t even think they mention her party affiliation. Bad, bad job by GOP, both in recruiting candidate (if Rudy really wanted to be a credible Pres. contender he should have run for this Senate seat or for Governor) and in getting message out. I think they just wrote this one off.
Hillary’s seat. She was appointed to seat after Hilliary took Secretary of State job. Tuesday’s election is for remainder of what was Hilliary’s Senate term.

2012 is a long way off, but unless conditions change radically, here is (IMHO) how some of the 2012 Senate races might break down.
California - Diane Feinstein: DiFi will be 79 in 2012. She would still be a formidable opponent, but it’s possible she might retire. If Boxer beats Fiorina in 2010, I’d think Carly would be a strong bet for the open seat.
Florida - Bill Nelson: Probably not a pushover, but I think he’s beatable. BTW, is it just me, or does the guy look like one of those creepy animatronic figures when speaks?
Hawaii - Daniel Akaka: The seat will be his until retirement or death.
Michigan - Debbie Stabenow: I think this one will be very much in play. I saw that a hypothetical matchup between her and John Engler in 2012 already has her behind by a few points. Two years is a long time, but I’ve yet to find a Michigander who can stand her.
Missouri - Claire McCaskill: I think the GOP has a very, very good chance here.
Nebraska - Ben Nelson: Nelson’s working overtime to repair his image by 2012, but I don’t think it will be enough.
New York - Kirsten Gillibrand: Probably safe, unless an exceptional challenger comes along for the GOP.
Ohio - Sherrod Brown: IMHO, he’ll be toast come 2012.
Washington - Maria Cantwell: Another that’s probably safe unless a really exceptional challenger runs against her. Dino Rossi will already either be a Senator or 3-time loser by 2012.
you need to double-check you list... Lindsey Graham is up in 2012.... I looked a few months ago and I came up with 33 seats up with 24 Dems...
CC
We have to wait till 2016 to kick her sorry ass out!
I know. Dick Morris said this was a winnable seat.
Excellent. RATS and RINOS must be purged.
Given that 67 percent of Nebraskans oppose the current health care reform, it shouldn’t be too difficult to “Give Ben the Boot.”
I really hope you’re right.
Hopefully, back bencher Kohl will get the message and retire after Feingold’s big defeat.
This year is for the unexpired portion of Hillary’s term. 2012 is for a full 6-year term.
I would expect Bill White to run for Kay Bailey’s seat after he loses to Rick Perry. Fortunately we have a couple of excellent conservative people should they wish to run.
Jim Webb....one termer.
Eight and six is fourteen.
