Sheesh. Most of us care about the living. Just speaking for myself, I find this sort of thing very interesting. By studying history we learn about ourselves.

Plenty of us follow SunkenCiv’s threads and appreciate the input of other FReepers on a lot of them. This statue was dug up by living people, reported by living people and now living FReepers are enjoying it. If you’re not then exercise your free will and don’t click on the threads.

SC's archeology posts/threads, along with the banglist and the antics of Laz and a few others, are the highlight of my FR daily routine.
Hi material is both educational and enjoyable. As a matter of fact, I regularly send links to either the articles he sources or the FR thread itself to friends and acquaintances around the world. Some of who are in the areas where the article information originates.
While a separate website for SC might indeed be a good idea, its certainly more convenient and faster to enjoy his material while catching up on politics via Free Republic.
