Splitting the conservative vote for self-indulgent, windmill-tilting empty gestures is “good news” how, again? I don't support either one of these men. But, your question makes it pretty clear that you think Mark Kirk has some right to a united conservative vote. Correct me if I'm wrong. But the question must then be asked: Why? He's as leftwing as any Democrat.
