"Any top ten list is bound to be subjective, but this one has criteria: to make this list, a show must have longevity (Sports Night was great, but didnt last), staying power (Threes Company was funny, but hopelessly dated), strong writing (hopefully self-explanatory) and memorable moments (theres a good reason that the final episode of M.A.S.H. was until very recently the most watched show in television history). Here are my choices, and let the debate begin."
A show about nothing? Yeah, right.
*Seinfeld ping. To be on or off our “list,” you must name names!
I can’t believe the dissed Red Dwarf.
I figured out how we won WWII watching Hogan’s Heroes. The country is safe after I watched Get Smart. Gunsmoke and Bonanza are better than shows on that list.
You sir and or madam have a great sense of humor. LOL!
Well, I’m young and I have never watched ANY of them and only have ever heard of three (dick van dyke, simpson, SNL)...
Married with Children should rank high. Maybe not top 10. But top 20 definitely.
Sorry. The Fonz jumped the shark.
>Also, I might be one of the only weird people who never liked Seinfeld.
Was there something to like about Seinfeld? It was a wretched show featuring wretched characters with no story whatsoever. I couldn’t last a single episode.
Most of that ‘top ten’ list is crap.
Buffy? Top ten of all time? Please.
Lost? That will be forgotten in short order.
Seinfeld- bleah.
I never considered watching The West Wing since I knew it would be leftist drivel.
Bah, the list was garbage.
Four of my favorites: The Match Game, Miami Vice, Leave it to Beaver and The Twilight Zone.
And if the Huckster gets to the WH, you may get to see it all over again...
Any good list of top shows must include the Bob Newhart Show (the first one, with Suzanne Pleshette), the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and King of the Hill.
Mash in the first 3 seasons was great but then they went to hell...

Seinfeld is the only real win on this list. The simpsons is ok in small doses and all in the family had its moments. The lesbian vampire thing is overdone and the rest I’m not into.
Buffy hit it big when Spike joined the cast. The perfect villian, greatly acted.
Even Quantum Leap beats Buffy.
I tihnk my list would include in no particular order: Hogans Heroes, Beverly Hillbillies, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Seinfeld, Frazier, The Outer Limits, Perry Mason, I Love Lucy, Married with Children. That is 10. I am sure if I tried to rank them and spent some time with this I would bump a few out and add a few.
I never watched Gunsmoke much and maybe I would bump Gunsmoke or Bonaza for Little House or the Waltons none of which I watched. But if your list is going to be more than just you personal favorites, you have to think about it and not just what you watched.
This is Crapola.
