Oh my goodness. I see a EMP - End of the world - thread about once a week. Hence use of the term ‘fixation’.

Could an EMP storm (IF it ever happened) hurt some areas of the US.
Yes.

Anything at all that YOU can do about it?
Nope.
I know there is nothing I can do.

I am more worried about a crackhead busting on my door (has happened) or a house fire (largest single disaster in the US) or loss of utilities hitting Anchorage than ‘possible’ EMP storm hitting the Earth.

And while CONgress may not find it funny - they have done ZIP about the “issue”. Or at least they have taken the same amount of care as they have for:
Civil Defense
Locking the borders
Expelling illegals
Stopping bad airline pratices
etc, etc, etc.

So, ya, LOL.

YMMV.

I know Congress has done nothing, and it’s a travesty and indefensible. Just a month or so ago a Senate sub-committee declined to pass on a bill that would have funded measures to harden the electrical grid. That grid was originally designed by Thomas Edison, and parts of it are very old.
