I dont know how many ‘scientific’ papers I saw about ghostly ‘orbs’ and all their mysterious properties and what they meant in the spiritual realm before some photographer pointed out thats what you get from a camera flash on a spec of dust in the dark. UFO people sound equally ridiculous. Especially about the one with the face and a binary data circle. (was it ms-dos formatted data?)
