I started reading Charlesworth's Pseudepigrapha last week (it opens with a translation of Enoch I).
It was interesting to note that Enoch is told (by an Archangel) that even "The Watchers" were pretty much in the dark as to all the activities of God (i.e. when they "fell" and shared secrets with their human wives, Enoch said while they--the Watchers--shared what they knew, they really weren't privy to that much).
If God keeps even angels in the dark, you can imagine how little mankind knows of all that God has done and is doing.
I greatly agree.
Somehow, my order was messed up—probably by my misunderstanding—but Vol 1 is on the way now. I have started Joseph Lumpkin’s version. Very fascinating.
