Actually, since I’m paid by a private foundation, and have publications under my belt, I’m pretty free to say what I want, now. You don’t have to fish for conspiracy clues.

It’s the grunts, like the adjuncts, who have to toe the line of their supervisors, if they want to get ahead. It’s like any job. Adjuncts are just temps, without contracts.
