They weren’t built with big slabs of stone for roofs.
“This makes it obvious that Romans made it to the new world, and immediately began building a qanat aqueduct system, to carry water from who knows where, to anybody’s guess, for who knows why!”
I thought everyone knew this one. The Romans built starter systems for later exploitation by the Knights Templar under the command of the Sinclairs as they settled the area.
The Romans were just way cool like that.
I think your thinking on the right path , I don’t know what it is but I do believe its something unique and mysterious and not simply a well or something to do with the underground railroad. It may seem simple to many but an engineer can appreciate what is involved with removing earth, especially creating tunnels that deep and long and lined with all structural support stones, I don’t know why there hasn’t been serious research into it
No way to work AGW into it? ;-)
From the size of the "well" compared to the tunnel size AND the 5 foot size of "some" of the rocks, it should be obvious that the rocks were NOT introduced into the tunnel via the "well".
