Thank God we no longer need the NRA to protect the 2nd Amendment.

There is a plethora of gun rights groups nowadays that are very effective regionally and nationally. The NRA did great work during the long twilight struggle but we no longer need a one-stop-shop to defend gun rights. It is nowadays much more a state and local issue ever since the concealed carry permit became the main event.

I am not sure if they are un-needed, yet at the federal level, when you include the commas, putting them in the correct context a national and natural fight for the 2nd amendment really did not have to happen; nonetheless they were needed to hold off the political class from outright destroying America.

I think the NRA should be the spearhead and assist the state groups, mobilizing mass media campaigns instead of sucking up to this human debris of a ruling class, which believe they are exempt. If the NRA really wanted to do a good job they should also focus on education and advocating within the states. Possibly pulling an ACORN and Planned Abortion Inc tactic and become the Social Bridge for Social Justice regarding a Constitutional Right; which is stated clearly in English. This would be very effective if tried; which is one reason the political class does not want large orgs or business they cannot control, to be able to politically advertise (McCain Feingold) and using multiple censorship mechanisms to prevent a knowledgeable citizenry.

My short list for removal is Pelosi, Reid, McCain, Snow, Stupak, Alexander, Lugar, Kyl, Gregg, Voinovich and any other RINOs which find it advantageous to sell out America, while lining their pockets.
