“Little Penguin” and “Barefoot” are good wines to drink, but not too expensive for cooking. Reds and whites are about $4.99 at the Super Walmart here. And “Yellow Tail,” about $8.99 in the 1.5L bottle.

Don't drink cooking wine. It almost always has salt added, and sometimes other preservatives as well, which render it un-vini-licious. In fact, don't buy cooking wine. Don't cook with anything you wouldn't want to drink.

Any $2.79-a-bottle wine recommended by Tax-chick is better than cooking wine.

In my very, very,. humbnle, humble opinion.
