It saddens me to hear anyone describe this fool as some sort of hero. His behavior was poor and I see no excuse for it. Many take abuse from rude people during their workday and unfortunately it is just part of the job. He was being paid to deal with it, not freak out and throw a fit and swear at the plane full of passengers and then run away. I understand that plane will be out of service now while the emergency chute is replaced. I am sure that will inconvenience some innocent people.
“Pissy homo throws hissy fit” is exactly right !

Totally agree.....two wrongs don’t make a right. i’m sick of people praising bad behavior. no doubt this jackass is proud of himself too.

Not defending the idiot but the slide on an A320 can be changed out in an hour or less. Your false indignation is not based on facts.

As far a dealing with the public, you are correct being paid for it is part of an airline job, but I can tell you, my wife as Pilot for a major airline based in Atlanta, experienced and witnessed some beyond normal BS from passengers especially on flights to and from NYC. NYC is full of jerks and the rudest people to say the least.

Oooh well those “innocent” inconvienanced people should fly a “better” airline, you get what you pay for
