I saw “Jaws”, for the first time, when it came out in the theaters. Haven’t been near the ocean, or boats, or ships since. LOL! As for the sequels, they should have stopped with “Jaws”.

It wasn’t that scary to me. I guess it might have been scary in 1975. The first movie that scared me was Nightmare on Elm Street. I didn’t sleep for a couple of days after that one.

I saw Jaws for the first time when it was first released, too.

Only it inspired me to buy a boat and do some fishing along the Atlantic coast.

And I loved every minute on the water, and look forward to my next and better boat.

I recall Jonathan Winters’ remark after the movie came out, “I think they’re still swimming in the middle part of the country, there aren’t TOO many sharks in the Mississippi.”

I know that after I saw it, I got scared in a swimming pool, although I’m happy to report I was brave enough to tough it out and stay in ... so what if I die.
