Yeh we did a little diff Eq in our calc class. Professor jumped ahead, lost most of the class.

There's a big conceptual leap between Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. A good teacher will warn--and prepare--his students.

That’s what he was doing by showing it early. He didn’t test us on it just showed the two most common applications.

At its most basic, it is all arithmetic. Most of the common problems have been solved before and in my experience, ME, a lot of engineering solutions are empirical.

I must confess that I loved differential equations. I didn’t realize how many math problems are solved by them.
