He travelled to Bali with his wife Michelle to complete writing this book. Obama’s autobiography book was published in 1995 and was titled, ‘Dreams From My Father’.

Several usually implies more than two ( if it were two, most people would say a couple of ) . I don't know what the visa rules were in Indonesia back in the 90's , but if they were the same as today, he would only be able to stay for 60 days on a visitor visa with a US passport. It would be interesting to see how long he actually stayed there.
