"blush"
Thank you but don't get me started...I'll talk your ear off ;-)
Makes me proud that the south treated you so well.
The few examples that I cited were out of hundreds of examples of Southern Hospitality and 'general, exceptional graciousness' that I noted in situations and contexts that I would NEVER expect to experience here in the People's Republic of Seattle. I have had women literally scream at me when I have politely opened the door for them here, but I keep doing it anyway because I know that it's the right thing to do. Let them scream ;-)
I was overjoyed to find that "Southern Hospitality" is no myth at all and traditional courtesies done in public won't cause everyone in a restaurant to grow quiet in a shocked silence and stare when I help a Lady put on her coat, as has happened to me here. I wish that I had been able to do a similar tour long ago, but I'm so glad that I did it eventually. :-)
Wish I had known that you were in Louisiana -- I would have served you a real home cooked southern plate.
awwww "blush" that's very sweet! We never know what the future may hold.....I've been to Louisiana twice now and I do hope to visit again one day :-)
Great ... be sure and let me know if you are down this way!
