(CBS) Just three weeks after announcing their surprise second engagement, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have reportedly split up.
The question is -- why?
It looked as if Bristol and Levi had settled down and were ready to raise their year-old son, Tripp, together, as a married couple. Now, Bristol says that's all changed and she's called off their engagement.
CBS News National Correspondent Jeff Glor said on "The Early Show" it was a picture that was hard to believe, Levi and Bristol, back together after a year-and-a-half-long public feud. The pair, with their infant son, announced their engagement just three weeks ago in US Weekly.
Bristol told reporters, "He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him."
But not long after, Bristol told People magazine there was trouble.
Betsy Gleick, Peopl's executive editor, said to CBS News, "What Bristol told People is that, on the very day that the world learned they were going to get married, Levi came home and said to her that he may have gotten another woman pregnant."

They had completely split, per the news of course. His perogative to move on but very stupid to make yet another baby out of wedlock.

To split a marriage the two involved have to decide to move on. Since this guy cheated, Bristol can move on away from the father of her child free and clear of guilt. Ever see Independence Day? Remember the scene where the scientist is with his ex-wife and she looks down and sees that he still wears his wedding ring? Just because someone says a marriage is over doesn’t make it so . . . papers be damned . . . power of that scene for what it is worth stems from that fact. Christ said that when you are cheated on by your spouse, you can divorce your spouse so that’s always been the touchstone for me on the issue.

How do you know how she felt? Your statement makes assumptions.
They were never married, just 2 dumb kids rubbing their parts together. They got engaged and then cancelled the engagement, stopped seeing each other and started a custody battle. I’d call that a decision to move on.
What do you think makes a marriage? I think making a baby together is a big step towards it. Making a baby while planning a life together can seal it. Not talking law here. Sort of “in the sight of God” kind of idea.
Bonnie Fuller, editor in chief of Hollywoodlife.com, said the engagement isn’t a stunt. The couple actually had a reality show on the table for $1.5 million, she said, and they walked away from the offer.
Fuller said the producer told Hollywoodlife.com that the show couldn’t go forward without an entire family — Bristol, Levi and Tripp — on board.
“There was no interest in just Levi on his own,” she said.
Fuller added the producer was very surprised by the split, saying the producer sent someone to Anchorage to talk to them, and suddenly, Fuller said, “they disappeared.”

Or at least to support just himself. I doubt any male porn dollars he might earn will go into a child support savings account. More likely is that he (Levi) will piss anything he earns right down his leg, in pursuit of either drugs or his immoral lifestyle.
If Levi wasn’t such a lying, back-stabbing little punk with at least 2 illegitmate kids and no moral compass, I might have room to feel for him.
