Assasination was too often standard operating procedure for the Democratic/Confederates of the era. Presley Yates, a delegate from Catoosa County Georgia was shot in the head for having the audacity to uphold the will of his constituents by voting against secession at the corrupt Georgia secession convention.

From Confederate intimidation in the 1860s to the New Black Panther Party today, Democrats have had a history of sometimes playing rough with elections and the political process.

Even to the point of 'silencing' members of their own party up to 100 years later if they didn't toe the party slaveocracy line.
