Well, since the cost to NYS state taxpayers doesn't seem to bother you, please feel free to send a donation to the NYS state treasury for my share of the bill we'll be getting :)

Relative to its surrounding states, the CT tax rates are pretty reasonable - at least from what I've seen. I think their top marginal income tax rate is 5%. Then again, I have no idea about property taxes, perhaps that's where the real damage is done. I think the sales tax is 6%, which is - I'd guess - about average in the country.

Of course, I live in FL, so any income tax is too much for me :)
