Read “The Lost History of Christianity,” by Philip Jenkins, Harper-Collins 2008, to learn how much the Arabs’ contributions to science and literature, etc., stemmed from the Christian scholars that lived among them back in those fruitful days; and that the “Arabic” numeral system originated in India with no help from Islam, or Arabs.

I have read Jenkins’ book and many others about this subject and have come to only one conclusion ... The Arabs in general and Muslims in particular have contributed very little if anything toward the “advancement” of mankind.
Of course they do excel in the art of beheading and wife abuse amongst other barbaric practices.
