I was once walking down a street in Leucadia, CA one evening and a pit bull charged me from the bed of a pick up truck. I admit, it scared the hell out of me. It stopped at the end of its chain but I know damned well the thing would have mauled me. The moron owner laughed and said she was “harmless.” I told the dolt that if I had had my sidearm on me it would have been dead. He didn’t think that was too funny.

I was thinking of how scared you were when the pit bull lunged at you and the owner laughed it off. I wonder how the owner would have felt if you decide to pull a gun on him, without warning? He would have been as scared as you were, when his dog lunged at you, but sadly you would have been arrested. Why does his demon dog get a pass, yet you go to jail?
