I never made any posts about the charitable works of Jobs. Please point it out.
The largest Apple store in the world opened today in Shanghai. It is larger than any store in the US. Looks like some serious lines:

It’s not uncommon for the “biggest store in the world” to be in China, especially Shanghai. Forty million people means a huge number of consumers, even when they come into the store, look around at the new stuff, then walk down the street to one of the copymalls and get the 2nd shift product for 1/5th the price...

I compared the disrupters on the Mac threads to those I used to see on the Fair Tax threads and mentioned those having possible personal connections to the status quo. Yet, I did not see this bunch as much that way until you suggested it. I simply considered them people, much like Jr. High School kids, who like to anonymously create discomfort for others. Comments like “rookie mistake” and “amateur design”, etc., about a leading edge company like Apple are examples of what I mean. They discount plausible reasons such as AT&T overload and they sneer at the fact the occurrences have yet to be positively identified as a problem. After all, the vast majority of iPhone4 users are not having the problem.
Reflecting on what you said it is curious that it is always the same usual suspects and they all show up together. Hard to consider that a coincidence.
Perhaps we can ignore them by not responding to them. If you or other knowledgeable people feel a need to correct the misconceptions they present then address it in posts to each other rather than to the culprits. Give them a good ignoring!
I noticed none ever bothered to answer my questions as to why they felt a need to do as they did. Instead they point out I did not address the antenna issue or they offered their usual excuse of getting back at all the nonexistent abuse MS users get from Apple fans.

I don't have much interest in what Jobs contributes to, or whether he contributes anything.
I respect both Gates and Jobs because each has created corporations that provide millions of jobs, if you include the ripple effect of companies that make support products, etc.
It may be a little Ayn Rand of me, but I believe that starting a business that provides employment for people who want to work is more noble than starting a foundation to give stuff away, although each can do some good.
In the Obamaconomy, you kill businesses and then give people stuff for not being productive. In an idealized free market, you create value and provide jobs for people.
As I've aged, I've become more convinced that charitable foundations frequently breed dependency, while businesses tend to breed self support.
Gates did a lot more good for more people with Microsoft Corp than his foundation has done.
Completely agree. Kind of like trying to talk about an iPhone antenna issue but having regulatorcountry keep trying to turn it into a Kin thread...as if the Kin was ever a threat to the iPhone. Kin was/is a huge flop, yet he keeps wanting to talk about it.
