well, it looks like Lance is going to go for the stage win today as I speculated. he attacked right out of the start today and is now leading a group that is currently 3:44 ahead of the peleton after 70 KM.

If Lance can keep this group peddling hard all day, I can see him attacking again on Tourmalet or more likly Aubisque and try to lock the stage up with a long solo ride down to the finish.

Since he is not a GC threat, I can see Contador, Schleck and company letting him go and have his day in the sun.

Gap is now 3:50 between the Armstrong group and the Peleton as they close in on the base of the Col de Aubisque
