More than likely they took it down because it was too big to fly at half mast because of KKK Byrd kicking the bucket.
Or maybe they just didn’t feel like flying their flag at half-mast for someone like Byrd.
I noticed a car dealer near where I live who is known to be conservative stopped flying the American flag and started flying the Texas flag instead.
