Evening, all. Just stopping by to say, Evening, all. Vlad was fine at his checkup. Most of the family went to the pool; I stayed home with Vlad and Frank, who had just had a bath.

Now I need to get Tom and Elen organized for their speech camp tomorrow.

NnBob, as one who does some public speaking I know that; and that includes followup Q&A. But the rate of direct information exchange is MUCH higher verbally, as exemplified by my work email which is overflowing from back & forth emails that are burning folks' days up with discussions that shouldn't take more than an hour or two face-to-face.

I've seen committees burn out on e-mail overload, and I am looking at one headed for same. I hope.

While driving home I was chased by the edge of a rain storm. It was about 105^o at my home and I could smell both distant fires and rain.

Last night I dreamed I became a werewolf and had to get out of the Coast Guard. Right before I finally went to A-school, too. Instead of going to school I ran off to B.C. and saved the world from dark wizards.

What a day. Between teleconferences and feeling better I went into the office this morning. Mistake.

Going home now, but LoM warns that our DSL service is out, thanks to a storm in Louisiana yesterday, and could be up to 24 hours until it's back. So if I'm on at all, it's through the cellphone.
