he said he can fix it a week from Saturday. But a week from Saturday is... Saturday! Does that reset the clock for another week?

Oh, dear. Does that mean we’ll have to duct tape?

There are worse things in life than duct tape.
I think...

Only Darksheare can enlighten us on this matter, if we dare to learn the truth. I hope so. I've never forgotten the warning on the chalkboard (that's real chalk on real chalkboard, btw) in the college computer center back in 1976:
DUCK! TAPE!!!

Slate is best used horizontally.
For that matter, so is chalk.

I've never forgotten the warning on the chalkboard (that's real chalk on real chalkboard, btw) in the college computer center back in 1976Although white boards are extremely popular, and computerized smart boards are installed in more and more classrooms, there are still a few classrooms left on campus that have chalkboards and chalk. I had to teach in one of those rooms a couple of years ago, and in some ways I preferred it. Chalk doesn't dry out like the dry erase markers, and my handwriting looks a whole lot better on a chalkboard than on a smart board.
One term, in a classroom with only a white board and a document camera, I started writing on the white board, and every marker in the room was dry. So I put some paper on the document camera, and tried to write on it with the two pens I had with me - both were dry. Then a student yelled, "It's a sign!" :-)

I like the good humor man.

Preferably dry and not shaken.

Good morning, all! The good news is that Frank did not have fever over night. The bad news is he spewed at 4:00 a.m. At least it was only milk, and not half-digested vegetables or a dead mouse. The throwing up is caused by the congestion and post-nasal drip: he starts to cough, and everything comes up. There is no medicine available for this for babies.

Saran Wrap, Mace as foreplay [do not ask, ever. please.], Archer T-50 stapleguns, duct tape as conversational enhancement device *cough*, hood pins [again, don’t ask], falling sleet and hood pins with a 35 MPH zone, being used as room decor while asleep...
And, unfortunately for I, the list does go on.

I prefer screaming and struggling against the giant dufflebag they’re stuffed in sprinkled with a few “please NO, oh no, please” in there.
