Oh, was that it? I hedged, in case it meant, “Flooding in the kitchen and a baby who won’t go to sleep.”
Ugh. *\:^|
The catz have shredded the weatherstripping. Our male family member will get it fixed, one way or another, before our vacation.
You could sing him the oldest North American Gaelic lullaby, Dean Cadalan Sàmhach (do sleep quietly), which actually comes from North Carolina!
It's beautiful, though it helps to know Gaelic. (Capercaillie does a modernized version.)
The weatherstripping or the catz? Sounds like both might be in order...?
I do appreciate the complexity of your thinking processes.
Fixed catz are less aggressive, no? Sometimes you have to circle around a problem to find the answer.
Good night all. I might be back tonight but it’s not likely.
Good morning. Catz are calling me rude names because I’m not filling their bowl immediately.
The baby went to sleep, finally, and now won’t get up, having been up for a while around 5:00, going Whoop! and waking up the dog. The catz are fixed, but they still have claws.
I put Frank to sleep singing “Los Peces en el Rio,” a Spanish Christmas carol.
Another sleepless night. I can’t seem to get my mind to shut off. I’m not a happy person.
I need to keep myself really busy, I guess. Then I won’t have time to think, or I’ll be too tired to think, one of the two.
Maybe I need my blankie.
You need someone to pat your little fuzzy head and sing “Los Peces en el Rio” and “Como Estrella en Claro Cielo.” Nothing like Spanish church music to bring on the fast-asleepies.
80s and humid. Trash day is very odorous under these conditions. I’m making Tom clean the cans out. Then he’ll need a shower!
Well, snap, must make some phone calls in Spanish and pay some bills. Then I hope to sew a skirt that’s been cut out for a couple of months. I put on my tropical-print blouse this morning, just cause I haven’t worn it in two years, and it really needs the pink skirt!
I just got word from the company that sent the igniter - it will be delivered today. UPS usually comes in the afternoon, so I will study the book, get my tools ready, and prepare to put it in tomorrow morning, while it’s “cool” and there is shade to work in.
The part took a short-cut from Grand Juntion CO to Moab UT, Green River UT and SLC from OK City.
In a few minutes, I’m going to get on the Gazelle and work for about 10 minutes.
I’ve sorted through the piles of paperwork I have concerning family records and genealogy, and have only about half of them filed. I still need to send for some other documents, but I will handle that when Miss Daisy is up and running again.
I’m sorry to hear that. I get the same way.
My attorney has an offer from the insurance company of the car that hit me (last October) of less than half what he requested. I’m thinking of asking him to try for half. Opinions?
Hold out. They will re-offer a higher amount.
The insurance companies are stingy. They want all your money.
I’m not expert at this but my inclination would be either to hold (if you can establish firmly that your request is fair), or show some movement but stay high — 75 - 90%.
I wouldn’t budge, because insurance companies see “negotiation” as weakness on the part of the client.
If your attorney holds out for the full amount, you should get at least 90% of it, if not more.
Been there....40 years ago. They are worse, now.
BTW: The igniter is here!!
I get to fix the truck in the morning! YAY, ME!
