I'm not so sure. Yes, Moose don't make a lot of noise, but they do vocalize from time to time and it's LOUD. During autumn rut, they are fiercely dangerous. They're huge too. Most people don't understand how big those bulls get. Think thoroughbred with big-ass antlers. And, a cow with a calf is also mean has hell.
We’re in moose country here north of Coeur d’Alene. We get occasional visits. They’re interesting to watch, but we give ‘em a wide berth.
