We tried selling our house a while back to buy one with more land, but not the best time for the housing market.
House raffles seem to be working well as a way to sell a house in this market. Choose the price you want for the house and divide by 100, that's how many tickets to sell at $100 each, then hold the raffle when all the tickets are sold (instead of setting a date). You can list the tickets on places like craigslist or Ebay.
I've heard of several people who've sold their houses this way, and they said it was easier and quicker than the traditional listings these days.
Just an idea.

Hmmm, house raffles ... that’s an interesting idea. I’ve never heard of this, other than some I’ve seen for St. Jude’s or other charities. I’ll look into that. Thanks.
