"Is there any primer that will stick to PT lumber?"

Glidden makes a primer called "Gripper", that will stick to just about anything. Lowes had a demonstration board with this stuff painted on a bunch of things. I bought some and it covered paneling that had been sprayed with Scott's Liquid Gold for a couple of decades. Then I got adventurous and painted some old ceramic tile in the bathroom. It stuck to both beautifully.

Try saying Glidden Gripper 6 times with a mouth full of fresh out of the oven blueberry muffins! I did some research on painting PT wood and see my original mistake was priming and painting the fence without letting the wood age to evaporate some of the oils in the treatment...

I picked up 4 gallons of Glidden Gripper latex primer today after confirming your advice with a painting contractor I use for the Church upkeep and my son uses him for his business building. The new electric pressure washer did the job after the borrowed one blowed up real good.

I spread the last of the old compost bin on a bed my wife will plant to flowers she has left over. As the Redwood trees have grown taller the roots are getting into my bins and sucking up the nutrients so I have to empty them at least every 12 months now. I sure wish I had the stamina I had prior to this year as I am struggler to get projects done because the pop up faster and faster. I work with my son tomorrow morning and will watch the races in the evening.

My driver and I will skip Church Sunday for the annual home garden tour put on by the Humboldt Botanical Gardens foundation...Details Here
