I need more beds. My lettuce is holding up, but when I do harvest the last of it, I’ll have to leave that spot dormant until Aug., if I am to have any space to replant.

How deep are you planting the zucchini? I put mine a full inch down, and tried not to let them dry out, or get too wet. (I know, I know.)
;-)

The birds only messed with a few. I planted 9 seeds, and have 5 plants; more than enough.

Some of my lettuce is trying to go to seed, but others are just fine. I just plan to rejuvenate the soil and replant in the same spot.

My zucchini said to cover it only with 1/4 in. of soil, so a good rain will expose those seeds if they are not rooted yet. I must be the only person in the world who can’t grow zucchini! :( I’ll bery the next seeds a little deeper.
